Abortion information - Crossroads Women'c Clinic in Tiptonville, TN

Experiencing an unexpected pregnancy?

Don’t know what to do or where to turn? At Crossroads Women’s Clinic, we are here to help you make informed decisions regarding your pregnancy.

Before considering your options, you should have a pregnancy test and an ultrasound.

Why is an ultrasound important?

An ultrasound reveals how far along you are and whether the pregnancy is viable, or the fetus or unborn child is alive.

What are my options?

Options are parenting, placing for adoption, or abortion. Before making a permanent decision, ask questions and get information.  At Crossroads Women’s Clinic, we have a loving, caring, non-judgmental atmosphere and are ready to answer your questions. We offer free, confidential services.

Parenting is choosing to keep your baby and raise and nurture them to be healthy adults. At Crossroads Women’s Clinic, we can help with any resources you may need.

Adoption is one of the most loving things you can do for your child if you feel you are not ready to parent. There are different types of adoption, and we will gladly answer any questions about this option.

Before choosing abortion, please make sure you have explored all your options and had your questions answered about abortion. We can provide you with the answers to those questions.

There are two types of abortion:

A medical abortion is the “Abortion Pill.”

Side effects include cramping, bleeding, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, chills, fatigue, headache, and dizziness. Other side effects can include infection, excessive bleeding, retained fetal tissue, blood clots, and allergic reactions.

A surgical abortion includes surgical instruments to remove the fetus.

Complications include infection, excessive bleeding, damage to the uterine lining, and the cervix. It can also cause you to have fertility problems in the future.

It is illegal to force or coerce someone to have an abortion.

If you are in an abusive or unsafe situation, please call the 24/7 Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.
